Though the Thunder lost Game 6, she remained optimistic about the team’s chances. After showcasing the cake at the Paycom Center, it was shared with family and fans. Nicole reflected on the magical season working alongside the Thunder and looks forward to making more themed custom cakes next year.
We all watched Sunday night as the Thunder held the NBA Championship Trophy in front of a sold out Paycom Center.

Former payroll director ordered to prison, must repay district nearly $500,000
SUMMARY: Former Mustang Public Schools payroll director Kim Windbreak was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for stealing nearly $500,000 from the district over six years. From 2016 to 2022, she manipulated payroll by replacing voluntary deduction amounts with negative numbers, inflating her paychecks to as much as $8,000. Investigators revealed she also diverted tax withholdings from other employees’ paychecks to cover her own taxes. Windbreak’s scheme resulted in about $430,000 in extra pay. She must repay nearly $600,000 in total restitution, including approximately $470,000 to the school district and $125,000 to the IRS.

Lawmaker says proposed change to school report card grading system is unfair
SUMMARY: Oklahoma lawmakers propose changes to the school report card grading system, sparking concerns about fairness. Previously, chronic student absences impacted grades, but new criteria would assess factors like teacher certification and years of experience. State Senator Mark Man argues this is unfair, given Oklahoma’s severe teacher shortage—with over 4,300 emergency-certified teachers compared to fewer than five decades ago. Man worries schools’ grades could drop due to factors beyond their control, including teacher performance evaluations, which might encourage inflated ratings. The State Department of Education seeks public input before the State School Board votes on the proposal, with feedback due Friday.
