Not as cold Thursday, milder tomorrow
SUMMARY: Morning temperatures are milder than yesterday, ranging from the mid-20s to 31°F downtown. The Arctic air is retreating, with a few flurries expected near North Vernon and Carrollton. Today will be partly sunny with a high of 39°F. Tomorrow is forecasted to reach 50°F before rain arrives Friday night, continuing into Saturday. The rain should clear by late Saturday afternoon, but colder temperatures will follow, with highs only reaching 26°F on Sunday and single-digit lows for the MLK holiday on Monday. Expect highs in the teens, gradually warming to above freezing by next Wednesday.

Barren Co. Sheriff’s Office searching for suspects after pursuit
SUMMARY: Authorities in Glasgow, Kentucky, are searching for two suspects, Aaron K. Wright and Melissa R. Netherton, who evaded arrest during a pursuit on February 7. A Barren County deputy attempted to arrest Wright, who had an active felony bench warrant, when both suspects fled. During the chase, they assaulted the deputy, causing minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The suspects escaped the scene and remain at large. The Barren County Sheriff’s Office is actively pursuing arrest warrants and urges residents to provide any information related to the suspects by contacting local authorities.

WKU President named KMEA Administrator of the Year
SUMMARY: Western Kentucky University President Timothy C. Caboni was awarded the Kentucky Music Educators Association’s (KMEA) 2024-25 Administrator of the Year for his support of music education.
