No suspect in vanishing of Virginia student on spring break, Dominican police say | NBC4 Washington

SUMMARY: Authorities in the Dominican Republic and the U.S. are searching for Sudika Kananki, a 20-year-old student from Loudoun County, who disappeared during spring break. Last seen a week ago, Kananki walked to the beach with a group, but she did not return. The Dominican National Police stated that no suspects have been identified, emphasizing they do not use the term “person of interest.” A man seen in surveillance footage with her is not considered a suspect. Search efforts involve over 300 personnel, focusing on potential water movements. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the FBI in the investigation.

Investigators continue to search for Sudiksha Konanki, a college student from Virginia who vanished one week ago while on spring break in Punta Cana. Authorities in the Dominican Republic say there’s no suspect in the case, and there’s hope that Konanki will be found. News4’s Juliana Valencia reports.
