Local organizations work to protect Medicaid after cuts
SUMMARY: The tax and spending bill signed by President Donald Trump on July 4 includes over \$900 billion in Medicaid cuts over the next decade, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Local organizations, like Celebrate Healthcare led by Gayleen Knoyton, are stepping up to help people keep their health insurance amid new work requirements and increased paperwork. Knoyton emphasizes community outreach, helping people complete necessary forms to avoid losing coverage. She highlights the importance of Medicaid in providing access to preventative care and early disease detection. The focus remains on ensuring people get accurate information and maintain their insurance coverage.
Celebrate Heath Care is aiming to make sure no one loses their health insurance due to lack of paperwork.
