New organization offers help for children coming out of foster care

A recently founded organization, Brandon’s Place, hosted an open house to show off its new facility and to show the community what it has to offer.

The non-profit is designed to help 18- to 25-year-olds, who have aged out of foster care, transition from living into adulthood through training, counseling, guidance, and mentoring.

The organization offers a variety of resources for the adults such as housing, skills training, education and more.

SUMMARY: Kelsey Mason, a Vancleave High alum and Shelton State signee, is set to represent Team USA in the Scotland Junior Golf Invitational, a prestigious six-day tour through Scotland’s iconic golf courses, including St. Andrews and North Berwick. Excited by the challenge of playing in new conditions, Mason is one of only 21 U.S. golfers selected.
