Nelson County woman’s $50,000 lottery win eases stress of building first home
SUMMARY: Tonya Shelton from Coxs Creek, Kentucky, won \$50,000 on a Kentucky Lottery Scratch-off ticket. She and her boyfriend had been playing together for six years. Shelton scratched off the ticket in her car and won by matching number 25, on the 25th day of 2025, calling it “meant to be.” After taxes, she received \$36,000, which she plans to use to help relieve the stress of building her first home. Shelton shared that the Kentucky Lottery had previously helped fund her education, and she feels good giving back. Fairfield Grocery, where she bought the ticket, will receive \$500.

ABC continues to provide first-class sports viewing for fans
SUMMARY: ABC 36 News Now will offer extensive sports coverage in the coming years, including key events like the College Football Championship and Super Bowl in 2027. Severe Alert Friday for strong storms
SUMMARY: A severe weather alert has been issued for Friday, with strong storms expected to develop in the late afternoon and evening. These storms are likely to bring damaging winds, large hail, and the possibility of an isolated tornado. The area, including Metro Louisville and southern Indiana, is under an enhanced risk (level 3 of 5). A cold front fueled by heat and humidity will trigger the storms, which will begin late Friday evening and continue until around midnight. Most of the region will see dry conditions on Thursday and early Friday, with the severe weather arriving later in the day.

Renovation leaves Lexington with over 200 more affordable housing units

They emphasize equal management for all properties, ensuring every resident deserves a great place to call home.
