Need help on a light bill? Entergy has you covered for a one-time deal
Entergy Mississippi is offering a one-time $150 bill assistance credit to some electric customers who meet certain criteria.
The credit is part of a $3.2 million Operations Bill Assist program to help low-income customers in Mississippi lower the cost of their bills and is funded with $1.1 million, Entergy officials said.
Haley Fisackerly, president of Entergy Mississippi said customers are experiencing high bills due to the global demand and cost of gas.

Jackson, MS, non profit to host spring break English language camp
In the past year or so, Jackson area students and parents have been impacted by switching between in-person and virtual learning due to the Jackson water crisis, inclement weather and COVID-19.
For instance, the Jackson Public School District went to virtual learning on the first day of spring semester this year, after reporting Jan. 4 that more than half of its schools had low or no water pressure.
All of that switching between virtual and in-person schooling has impacted students' learning patterns.

Jackson, MS, to host Zoo Camp for Spring Break
The Jackson Zoo Spring Break Camp, a popular program for youth ages 6 through 12, is back for 2023 for the first time in several years.
Angela White, Jackson Zoo recreation manager and development director, said the camp was started about seven years ago but was temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic and management transitions at the historic zoological park.
The camp will be held daily from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, through Thursday, March 16.
