SUMMARY: Iran launched a limited missile attack on the U.S. military base at Al Udeid in Qatar, retaliating for recent U.S. strikes on its nuclear sites. SUMMARY: Kenneth Smith Jr., a 15-year-old honor student who recently moved to New Orleans from Georgia, was shot and killed in the Lower Ninth Ward after leaving a party on Saint Maurice Avenue. The group he was with was approached by unknown individuals who opened fire. Kenneth was taken to the hospital by his brother but did not survive. His family described him as respectful and trouble-free. The party venue, a home on Saint Maurice Avenue, is allegedly operating illegally as an unpermitted event space, not a registered Airbnb. This location was also linked to a deadly shooting in 2022. A vigil for Kenneth is planned at Harold Park.

Kenneth Smith Jr. was shot and killed in the Lower Ninth Ward last week.
