SUMMARY: In Oklahoma, a woman reflects on her life amidst fears of mass deportations under Operation Guardian, which targets over 500 inmates considered criminals. She describes feeling imprisoned in her own home since the current administration took office. Though her husband is naturalized and their children have birthright citizenship, she lives under constant anxiety, preparing for potential separation from her family. Despite assurances from state officials that only undocumented individuals with criminal records will be targeted, she feels vulnerable. Support groups exist, albeit discretely, to assist migrants as the Mexican consulate offers documentation services to help families.
