MSDH confirms 1,474 new COVID-19 cases in weekly report

The Mississippi State Department of Health confirmed 1,474 new cases of COVID-19 in its weekly report.

The seven-day update brings the state’s total number of recorded cases since the onset of the pandemic to 990,756. With 19 additional deaths, 13,370 Mississippians have passed away as a result of the virus. Additionally, there are currently 59 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Mississippi is currently averaging 311 daily cases, a 31% decrease from two weeks ago.
