SUMMARY: Good Friday morning! It’s a gray start, but thankfully no heavy rain like yesterday. While Richmond experiences dreary skies, most areas remain dry with only patchy drizzle. Today’s weather will be cloudy with temperatures in the mid-50s. The system that caused the rainfall is moving out, and high pressure is on the way, promising sunshine by Saturday afternoon. Overnight lows will drop into the lower 40s, possibly upper 30s in some areas. Next week, expect increasing clouds Monday, scattered showers Tuesday, and a cold air surge bringing the potential for snow flurries by next Thursday.

What’s that? Next week? Is that a blast of winter air on the horizon?
Is there moisture in there with that frigid of air? Could that mean snowflakes could fly? Stay tuned!

www.youtube.com – WLKY News Louisville – 2025-08-10 18:12:06

SUMMARY: The weather remains hot, with temperatures reaching the lower 90s and some isolated showers recently developing. Better rain chances return midweek, especially Wednesday, which is expected to bring scattered thunderstorms, heavy downpours, and gusty winds due to a trough moving in from the northwest. Tuesday may see a stray shower as moisture increases, but mostly dry conditions will last through early week. After Wednesday and Thursday showers, heat will return, with temperatures in the lower 90s by the weekend. The Kentucky State Fair is forecasted to be hot and mostly dry, but locals are advised to stay hydrated amid the persistent heat and humidity.

Published

lexingtonky.news – Adrian Paul Bryant – 2025-08-10 14:50:00

The program aims to formalize street art projects, which many U.S. cities use to calm traffic and reduce crashes by incorporating painted crosswalks and road designs. Lexington will draft guidelines including funding sources, community decision-making, and traffic safety compliance. A pilot chalk art project was tested in May 2025 on Shropshire Avenue. Residents can engage with the program by contacting Crepps and watching the live meeting online or in person.
