Governor demands action on 'Delta 8' products
SUMMARY: Governor Stitt is demanding action on psychoactive marijuana products, specifically Delta 8 THC, which are legal and sold in gas stations and vape shops but lack full lab testing. Concerns include unregulated manufacturing, unknown potency, and contamination with heavy metals like lead and nickel. These products often give a milder high but pose safety risks, especially to young people. The Governor has asked state agencies to conduct coordinated investigations, targeted enforcement, and regulatory assessments to crack down on unlawful sales and manufacturing. The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics supports efforts to address companies circumventing laws and to protect public safety.

Homeland Security releases new information
SUMMARY: Homeland Security conducted a federal raid on an Oklahoma City home, mistakenly involving Marissa and her three daughters, U.S. citizens who had just moved from Maryland. Authorities searched the house for human traffickers, confiscating phones, computers, and cash while making the family stand outside in undergarments in the rain. DHS acknowledged Marissa’s family was not the target but stated the previous residents were involved in a human smuggling operation. Despite claiming the operation targeted a property and not individuals, the sealed search warrant lists eight specific targets. DHS has not ruled out Marissa’s family’s involvement but called the incident unfortunate. A GoFundMe was created to support them.
