Mississippians react to President Biden’s executive action on gun control

Biden believes there is no excuse for the gun violence plaguing the nation. He is calling for an assault weapons ban and wants a review of how stabilizing braces are regulated. Gun industry members see these measures as stripping Americans of their rights, while others believe investing in community violence interventions and closing loopholes will help. Gun shop owners suggest fighting the black market to prevent criminals from obtaining firearms.

When it comes to tightening the restrictions on as the President put it “ghost guns”, pistol stabilizing braces, and investing in community violence interventions, people of Jackson have its support while others in the gun industry see deliberate misunderstandings and certain Americans getting stripped of their rights.
