SUMMARY: The Lafayette City Council approved a road swap to enable infrastructure improvements along Johnston Street and Bertrand Drive after a five-hour debate on unequal city investment. Councilman Andy Naquin switched to support after securing a promise to explore an Economic Development District (EDD) for Johnston Street’s costly revitalization. Council Chair Kenneth Boudreaux raised concerns about neglecting Moss Street, citing safety issues and fatalities, proposing its inclusion for improvements. Boudreaux also criticized unequal waste service along Louisiana Avenue, where residents face dumpster use due to impassable roads, calling for prompt action. Easy Healthy Chicken Wings: Perfect Summer Meal Idea

Published

on

www.youtube.com – WWLTV – 2025-06-04 08:57:46

SUMMARY: Spencer demonstrates how to make easy, healthy oven-roasted chicken wings as a lighter summer meal alternative. Instead of the high calories from fried wings and creamy dressings, his recipe uses dry wings coated with a spice mix—paprika, garlic powder, oregano, cumin, salt, pepper—and baking powder for crispiness. He blends this with avocado oil and lemon zest and juice, then roasts the wings at 425°F for 40 minutes, flipping halfway. Serving six wings with a low-calorie Caesar salad made with fat-free Greek yogurt provides about 60 grams of protein and a satisfying, healthier option for meal prep.

Morning Forecast – Wednesday, June 4th

Published

on

www.youtube.com – KTVE – 2025-06-04 08:08:11

SUMMARY: Scattered showers and weakening thunderstorms are moving across parts of northeast Louisiana and southern Arkansas this morning, mainly near Magnolia, Camden, and El Dorado. The stalled frontal boundary to the northwest is limiting further eastward rain, so isolated showers may continue but rain chances remain low today. Temperatures are in the low 70s with muggy conditions and calm southeast winds. By Friday, temperatures will rise into the mid-90s with increased humidity, signaling the start of summer. A cold front will bring a higher chance of storms, possibly severe with gusty winds and small hail, especially in central Arkansas, over the weekend. Early next week will see cooler temperatures in the upper 80s.

A frontal boundary has stalled to the northwest where showers and thunderstorms have been ongoing. The rain will phase out due to the front stalling. Clouds will break apart for us later this evening, and rain chances will remain minimum. As we still between systems, isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out through tomorrow. A cold front will swing through closer towards Friday, where more storms are likely across Arkansas. Best chances for Louisiana will come late Saturday. Temperatures will stay very but cool down slightly into next week with more unsettled weather.
