Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen: “Cold Night” 6PM Forecast

Published

on

www.youtube.com – WXXV 25 – 2023-11-27 20:44:51

SUMMARY: The content provides a weather update for the Mississippi Gulf Coast, with a focus on current temperatures, cloud cover, and wind conditions. The forecast includes cold temperatures overnight, with mostly clear skies and breezy conditions. The presenter explains the impact of cloud cover on temperature regulation, and advises viewers to bundle up due to the cold. The forecast for the following day indicates clearing skies and a comfortable temperature of 60°F. The 7-day forecast suggests the potential for moisture and storms in the coming week.

Monday November 27th, 2023: High pressure continues to build into the area tonight and winds
will relax. With low dewpoints and light to calm winds, the big
question with overnight lows will be clouds. Southwest flow aloft
will bring some high clouds through the area tonight. The clouds
should be a thin layer, but may still be enough to limit what
would normally be a good set up for radiational cooling. That
being said, stuck fairly close to the NBM in most areas and made
only small adjustments in the Pearl and Pascagoula drainage areas
where the denser cold air should still be able to move down
basin assuming the winds ease as forecast. Not expecting any
freezing temperatures tonight, but a few places are forecast to
bottom out right around 33 or 34, so IF the clouds don`t move in
as forecast, can`t rule out an hour or two of freezing temps in
some localized places.

www.youtube.com – WLOX News – 2025-06-15 21:39:05

SUMMARY: Scattered showers and storms continued across South Mississippi over Father’s Day weekend and are expected to persist into Monday and Tuesday. A waterspout came ashore near Gulfport and Long Beach, quickly dissipating. While rain chances taper off overnight, daytime heating will fuel more storms early this week, with possible localized flooding due to saturated ground. A pattern shift later in the week will reduce storm coverage but increase temperatures. Highs will reach the low 90s on the coast and mid-90s inland by the weekend. Despite the heat, the tropics remain quiet with no development expected over the next seven days.

Meteorologist Taylor Graham has the latest on this week’s chances for rain and the upcoming forecast.
