SUMMARY: Ivy Greene Academy is hosting a children’s business fair on June 7th from 9 AM to 12 PM at the First Choice Pavilion in Pontto. Open to children aged 4 to 18, the event encourages young entrepreneurs to develop independence and business skills. Participants create and sell products such as lemonade and bracelets, managing sales, costs, and profits on their own without parental help. The fair, affiliated with Actton Academy, aims to foster entrepreneurship, teaching kids how to be their own boss and handle money responsibly. It’s a unique experience designed to inspire confidence and real-life business lessons. Everyone is invited to support these young entrepreneurs.

SUMMARY: At the Southern Miss softball complex, Day 3 of the state championships featured intense games. In the 1A series, Myrtle edged Stringer 4-3 after a tense finish involving an interference call. Myrtle led early, but Stringer fought back with key runs. In the 4A championship, Perivis faced Iaw Womba. Perivis led 2-0, but Iaw Womba rallied with big hits from Skyler Partllo and Abby Robertson to win 6-2. The 2A series saw East Union dominate Pisgga with a 10-0 run rule victory, positioning East Union to potentially sweep the series tomorrow. Excitement continues to build in the state playoffs.
More local softball teams began their championship series on Thursday, May 15.
