Man shot by police after standoff in St. Charles County

Neighbor describes chaotic scene after police kill man during struggle over gun
SUMMARY: A police shooting in Fenton left one man dead after a struggle with officers. St. Louis County police were attempting to arrest the man for harassment when he allegedly pulled a gun, leading to a confrontation. Officers fired their weapons, killing the man at the scene. The incident occurred near Hawkins Village Apartments around 10:20 a.m. on Friday. Neighbors described hearing multiple shots and recognized the man, who had a history of personal issues. According to St. Louis County police, shortly after 10 a.m., two officers went to the 1000 block of Hawkins Bend Drive to arrest a man on previous first-degree harassment charges.
When the officers contacted the man at the front door, police said they had a verbal exchange with him, during which he pulled out a gun and a struggle ensued.
