As the City of Jackson remains mired in the second week of the latest city-wide boil-water notice, Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba on Thursday reveled in the news that was announced just before Christmas that the city will receive $600 million from the federal government to help repair the city water system.
The bill was part of a $1.7 trillion spending bill financing federal agencies through September.
