Leland Vittert talks Epstein Client List
SUMMARY: President Trump, six months into his second term, faces backlash from his MAGA base over two key issues: the Epstein client list and immigration. Supporters demand the release of the Epstein client list, but Attorney General Pam Bondi claims no such list exists. The administration fears releasing names could unfairly imply guilt by association, sparking public suspicion. Meanwhile, on immigration, Trump is considering a program to streamline temporary visas to support industries reliant on undocumented workers, balancing his base’s opposition to amnesty with economic needs to keep food prices low and supply chains stable.
Leland Vittert joined the morning show to discuss world news, including the possible Epstein Client list and more.

St. Louis forecast: Drought continues and temps are lower
SUMMARY: The St. Louis forecast shows drought conditions continuing with slightly lower temperatures. August had a mix of above, below, and near-normal temperatures, defined as within 2 degrees of normal. Today’s high will be near 82°F with a good mix of sun and clouds, and a low around 61°F with light northeast winds. The allergy index is moderate for weeds and mold, but none for grasses and trees. A small chance of rain Tuesday and Wednesday could help extend the fall foliage by keeping leaves on trees longer, preventing early leaf drop due to dry conditions. Cooler temperatures follow later in the week.
St. Louis could use some rainfall.

Kehoe calls special session to redistrict Missouri congressional maps
SUMMARY: Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe has called a special legislative session starting September 3 to redraw the state’s eight congressional districts, focusing on making the 5th District, held by Democrat Emanuel Cleaver, more Republican-leaning. The GOP-backed plan aims to increase Republican seats from six to seven, leaving only one Democrat. Redistricting typically occurs every decade following the U.S. Census but can happen mid-decade via special sessions. The session will also address initiative petition reform. Democrats criticize the move as a partisan power grab. Kehoe emphasizes ensuring districts reflect Missouri values and voter clarity amid national Republican redistricting efforts.
