SUMMARY: A Delta flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam made an emergency landing at Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport after encountering severe turbulence over Wyoming. The turbulence caused the plane to drop over 1,000 feet in three waves, injuring 25 passengers who were unbuckled and sent flying, with many taken to hospitals for treatment. Emergency vehicles responded promptly at the airport. The Department of Transportation is conducting a full review into why the flight was not delayed or canceled despite weather risks. Experts link increased turbulence to climate change, urging passengers to keep seat belts fastened even when signs are off. Delta is cooperating with the National Transportation Safety Board on the investigation.

SUMMARY: The Glynn County Police Department arrested Craig Battle Jr. and Unique Hall in a narcotics and firearm investigation following a July 30 search warrant at 5801 Altama Avenue, Brunswick. Battle initially fled but was caught. Officers found four handguns, ammunition, high-capacity magazines, 8.6 pounds of marijuana, cocaine, Adderall, Oxycodone, Xanax, THC vape pens, promethazine, drug distribution items, and $886. Both were charged with possession and intent to distribute multiple controlled substances, possession of firearms during crimes, and related offenses. Additional charges may follow.
