Israel again intercepts Gaza-bound ship carrying activists and humanitarian aid
SUMMARY: The Israeli military intercepted the Gaza-bound aid ship Handala, detaining 21 international activists and journalists and seizing all cargo, including baby formula, food, and medicine. The Freedom Flotilla Coalition said the interception occurred about 40 nautical miles from Gaza in international waters, with communications cut just before midnight Saturday. The coalition emphasized the cargo was civilian and intended to help a population facing starvation under Israel’s blockade. Activists from 10 countries, including seven U.S. citizens, were aboard. The raid drew criticism from human rights groups, which called it a violation of international law. Israel provided no immediate comment.

Trump goes to Scotland for “working visit” as DOJ wraps up Ghislaine Maxwell questioning
SUMMARY: President Trump arrived in Scotland for a five-day “working visit,” including trade talks with the EU chief and a meeting with the British Prime Minister. However, he is expected to spend much of the trip at his golf resorts. Protesters in Scotland greeted Trump with hostility, linking him to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Meanwhile, the Justice Department concluded a second day of questioning Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s co-conspirator, who cooperated fully according to her lawyer. Trump dismissed questions about pardoning Maxwell, emphasizing it was premature. The Justice Department has not yet disclosed any details from Maxwell’s interviews.
