SUMMARY: Storm victims in Florida are facing ongoing hazards following Hurricane Milton, including flood-related health risks and electrocution threats from submerged power lines. The Tampa and St. Petersburg areas are notably affected, with over 2 million residents still without power and a boil water notice in place for St. Petersburg. At least 16 fatalities have been linked to the storm. Evacuees share their struggles, as families relocate due to severe damage. Brighton Young, who has lived in Florida for two years, is anxious about returning home after surviving multiple hurricanes, while others are choosing to settle elsewhere for safety.

Power and other utilities continued to slowly be restored across Florida on Friday after Hurricane Milton made landfall on the Gulf Coast, flooding neighborhoods and spawning deadly tornadoes.
