How to find safe, quality SWV childcare

Published

SUMMARY: As school ends, many parents seek quality childcare, which requires careful research. Experts advise touring multiple facilities, meeting providers, and asking questions to find the best fit. In-home care offers a personal touch with consistent caregivers, while centers may have different approaches. Parents should check certifications via pediatricians or the DHHR website to ensure providers have proper training. Open communication with children is vital so they feel safe reporting concerns. Watch for red flags like dirty or smoky environments. Social media and recommendations help, but always verify the provider is state-registered to guarantee safety and quality.

As school wraps up for the year, many parents will need a quality daycare option. Finding the best crèche is of the utmost importance, but that can be challenging.
