Scattered storm chances stay in play into the late week
SUMMARY: Central and Eastern Kentucky experienced typical midsummer weather on Wednesday with temperatures in the low to mid-80s and high humidity, accompanied by scattered thunderstorms due to a weak frontal boundary. Thursday will see similar conditions with more scattered afternoon and evening storms and highs in the mid to upper 80s, potentially reaching 90°F in sunnier areas. This unsettled, warm, and humid pattern is expected to continue into the weekend, maintaining daily storm chances amid heat index values in the 90s. Early next week might bring a slight reduction in storms, with temperatures climbing into the low 90s and more sunshine expected.
