SUMMARY: Grand Isle is facing significant flooding due to recent heavy rain, with some areas experiencing waist-deep water. The local police chief reported that the rain fell faster than the existing drainage systems could handle. Flooding was already evident in low-lying areas by 10 p.m., before high tide at midnight. To help, Grand Isle will receive two additional loaner pumps to complement the 11 existing stations, as local pumps are at capacity. Residents are advised to drive cautiously on flooded streets and to park on higher ground to prevent vehicle damage.

Thousands of misleading texts urged residents to oppose the bill, prompting an investigation and cease-and-desist order. Additional lawsuits accuse CVS of PBM abuse, favoring high-price drugs, and harming independent pharmacists through opaque contracts and spread pricing. CVS denies wrongdoing, emphasizing its role in lowering drug costs in Louisiana.
