Storm Team 3: Tracking Showers/Storms & The Tropics For the 4th of July
SUMMARY: Stray showers and thunderstorms are possible this morning with rain chances increasing to 30% this afternoon, mainly east of I-95. Temperatures will be hot, reaching the low to mid-90s but feeling like 100°-103°, so hydration and sun protection are advised. Rain chances drop below 20% by sunset, allowing for mostly clear conditions during fireworks. A broad low-pressure area southeast has a 60% chance of developing into a tropical storm, though impacts locally are expected to be indirect. Coastal rip currents and high surf are concerns. Next week, high pressure will bring less rain but dangerous heat and humidity.
