At-large murder suspect arrested after wild crash in north St. Louis

SUMMARY: A Tennessee man, Anthony Tobias-Haywood, 29, wanted for a 2024 murder in St. Louis, was arrested after a brief police pursuit ending in a crash in the Greater Ville neighborhood. Police noticed his black Toyota Camry with tinted windows and no front plate, attempted a stop, but he fled, crashing after hitting another car. Inside the vehicle, officers found two pistols, suspected narcotics, cash, and a digital scale. Tobias-Haywood faces charges including first-degree murder for a 2024 drive-by shooting that killed Daniel Hughes, as well as fleeing and unlawful possession of firearms. He remains jailed without bond.

His house was hit, but his father's musical legacy survived the storm
