SUMMARY: Two Israeli embassy staffers, Yaran Lashinsky and Sarah Mgrim, were fatally shot outside the Capitol Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., after attending an event. The suspect, 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez from Chicago, was arrested on the scene, reportedly shouting “Free Palestine!” during his arrest. Authorities say he acted alone. The attack has raised fears of escalating violence amid ongoing Israeli-Gaza conflict and recent U.S. anti-Israel protests. The couple, engaged to be married, were targeted in an apparent anti-Semitic attack. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu announced increased security at Israeli missions globally. Local leaders condemned the violence and anti-Semitism.
