SUMMARY: Newport News native Madison Whyte, a Southern Cal sprinter, has made a significant impact for the USC women’s track team. At the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, the former Heritage Hurricane narrowly missed the 200-meter national title, finishing behind South Carolina’s Jamea Ford. Whyte also contributed to USC’s 4×100 relay team, which won a national title, helping the Trojans place second overall in the women’s team competition.
