The deputy superintendent noted that AI can save teachers up to 15 hours weekly in lesson planning and grading. To ensure ethical use, the district is focusing on platforms that meet privacy standards. The initiative aims to enhance learning and prepare students for the future in an increasingly AI-driven world.
Nearly half a million dollars worth of Artificial Intelligence products will be used in Florence District 1 schools.

After several months of planning, school administrators said AI would be a benefit to the district.
