SUMMARY: Principal Greg Musik made a heartfelt surprise return to Mary Munford Elementary School’s fifth-grade graduation after being seriously injured earlier this year when hit by a car while biking. Absent for 11 weeks and recovering from multiple surgeries with help from Sheltering Arms, Musik surprised students, parents, and teachers, who warmly welcomed him back. He described the visit as motivational and said the school community means a lot to him. His goal was to attend graduation, which helped fuel his recovery. Musik hopes to return fully this fall and, despite joking about retirement, remains committed to Richmond and his role.
