SUMMARY: Julian Hernandez and his son found a “miracle”—a fully stocked green backpack—while hiking in southern Utah after getting lost. The backpack belonged to 15-year-old Levi Dittman, who had become stranded on the same trail a month earlier. Levi had stocked it with snacks, a first aid kit, and other emergency supplies but was rescued without retrieving it. When Julian and his son stumbled upon the backpack, it provided them with food and water to endure their situation. Dreaming of Fall? Here’s what the season may hold
SUMMARY: The CSRA’s fall outlook shows typical September highs around 91°F with 3.6″ rain, cooling through November to highs near 65°F and lows near 39°F. Currently in an ENSO-neutral phase, a weak La Niña may develop late fall, slightly influencing weather. The Climate Prediction Center favors a 40-50% chance of warmer-than-average temperatures from September to November. Precipitation forecasts are uncertain: southern counties may see wetter conditions, but rainfall heavily depends on the Atlantic hurricane season. The European model supports warmer, drier conditions due to high pressure. Overall, expect a warmer fall with variable rainfall influenced by tropical activity.
