Aggressive action to arrest illegal immigrants increases, arrests include alleged gang members
SUMMARY: The Trump administration is intensifying efforts to deport illegal immigrants, focusing on criminals including alleged gang members. Operations across the country, such as a recent one in Reno, Nevada, resulted in multiple arrests of individuals with serious criminal histories like manslaughter and weapons charges. In New York City, police faced violent attacks from suspects linked to the Venezuelan gang Train Daywa during a robbery incident in Times Square. Tennessee authorities also arrested over 80 individuals, including gang members and repeat offenders. Immigrant advocates argue many arrested were non-criminals or asylum seekers without proper documentation. Republican lawmakers are challenging sanctuary policies in Democratic-led states, calling for hearings.

Across the country, there has been an aggressive effort to find and arrest criminals living in the country illegally.
The KRNV news team in Reno, Nevada, tagged along for an ICE Enforcement operation on Tuesday that resulted in 16 arrests.
In an interview during the ride-along, agents shared details about one of the people arrested.

Real ID enforcement sees mixed reactions from locals
SUMMARY: Starting today, a Real ID is required to fly domestically or enter federal buildings, a security measure enforced after 15 years. At the Mount Pleasant DMV, reactions are mixed. Some got their Real IDs years ago, others are only now applying amid long lines and multiple visits. Some people support the safety benefits of the new requirement, while others find the extra step frustrating. TSA officials clarified this day marks the start of enforcement, not a hard deadline, allowing travelers to use other IDs like passports. Those not traveling soon can still obtain their Real ID later.

Starting Wednesday, a REAL ID will be required to fly domestically or enter federal buildings. It’s a security measure that officials have tried to enforce in the past, but has been delayed for years.
