Somerset is clearing out lingering clouds, and a high-pressure system from the Midwest will bring warmer, more seasonable temperatures midweek. Tomorrow will be pleasant with highs in the mid-70s, mostly sunny skies, and a slight breeze—ideal for outdoor activities like the 2 PM SC game. Temperatures will continue warming, reaching the low 80s by Wednesday, with sunny weather expected through the week, including warm conditions for Friday’s game.

Pleasant Sunday weather
SUMMARY: Sunday will feature pleasant weather with temperatures recovering to the mid-70s, about ten degrees below normal. Expect clear skies and dry conditions due to high pressure dominating the area. Overnight lows will be cool, dropping to around 49 degrees, with a chilly start in the upper 40s to low 50s. Temperatures will gradually warm through the week, reaching the lower 80s on Monday, mid-80s by Wednesday, and upper 80s by Thursday and Friday. Mostly dry skies will continue, with only occasional clouds midweek. Overall, a comfortable and mostly sunny stretch of weather is expected through the week.

High School Playbook: Sept. 5
SUMMARY: In the High School Playbook game of the week, Saint X Tigers dominated Mayo Bulldogs 38-7, highlighted by Marlon Harbin’s four touchdowns, including a 54-yard run and a 92-yard kick return. At Central’s Ty Scroggins Stadium, the Yellow Jackets secured their first win of the season, beating Butler 6-0 with Rashad Johnson’s lone touchdown. In Bullitt County, Bullitt East Chargers defeated North Bullitt 44-14, with key touchdowns from Cole Facackler and Cole Cornell. The highlight of the week featured Couch White’s impressive footwork, catching ten passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
