Electrician comes to family's rescue after St. Louis tornado left them in the dark
SUMMARY: After a St. Louis tornado left medically vulnerable Donna Scott’s family in the dark, electrician Kevin Thomas stepped in to help. Donna, reliant on a pacemaker and preparing for heart surgery, couldn’t afford repairs. Following a plea for assistance aired on TV, Kevin, familiar with the neighborhood, volunteered to fix her damaged electrical meter socket free of charge. His generosity restored power after two weeks without electricity, bringing relief and hope. This act of kindness transformed strangers into a supportive community, proving that goodwill can shine brightest in our darkest moments. Thank you, Kevin Thomas, for saving Donna’s family.

Kevin Thomas saw the 5 On Your Side story of Donna Scott, who needed help after a tornado hit her St. Louis home. He gave $2,500 worth of services for free.

Couple impersonates pothole workers, steals jewelry from St. Louis County home
SUMMARY: Two Indiana residents, Christina Costello and Nicholas Miller, are wanted in St. Louis County, Missouri, for impersonating pothole workers to burglarize a woman’s home and steal expensive jewelry. The pair are linked to a similar crime in Manchester earlier this year. Miller gained the victim’s trust by offering driveway repairs, while Costello entered the home to steal jewelry, captured on surveillance. Neither has been arrested and both are believed to be evading law enforcement out of state. Authorities warn the public to verify contractor identities before allowing entry and to be cautious of unsolicited service workers.
