DEA collects thousands of pounds of drugs on Take Back Day

The Drug Enforcement Administration collected more than 700,000 pounds of unneeded medications at more than 5,000 locations on April 30 as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Since 2010, the DEA and its law enforcement partners, have collected nearly 16 million pounds of drugs no longer needed.

Locally, Mississippi collected more than 4,000 pounds of medications during Take Back Day.

Police say Minneapolis church shooter was filled with hatred and admired mass killers
