Community meeting on Jackson water crisis brings questions, anger

For more than two hours Tuesday, Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba stood before Jackson residents who, while voicing support for him, expressed their anger, confusion and despair over the city’s water crisis.

Lumumba spent the first portion of the community meeting, which was held at College Hill Baptist Church, presenting an update on where the crisis stands and what the city would like to do to fix it. He then opened the floor to residents, many of whom were eager to tell him what was on their minds.
