SUMMARY: Today will bring wet weather, transitioning from mild temperatures in the low 70s to rain developing in the late afternoon and evening. Although not severe, expect showers and potentially some storms; keep your rain gear ready. Rainfall will likely accumulate to about half an inch in various areas. After this evening’s rain, conditions will clear by midnight, leading to cooler temperatures tomorrow around 56°F. A stronger cold front will arrive Sunday, dropping temperatures into the low 40s. The weekend will be mostly sunny but breezy, especially during the One City Marathon in Newport News. Overall, February has been notably wet.

A cold front will approach late Thursday, bringing a chance of showers and a cooler Friday.
