Deadly E. coli outbreak linked to McDonaldโs Quarter Pounders sickens 49 people in 10 states
SUMMARY: An E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounder hamburgers has affected at least 49 people across 10 states, resulting in one death and 10 hospitalizations, according to the CDC. The infections occurred between September 27 and October 11, primarily in Colorado and Nebraska. Investigations are focused on identifying the specific ingredient responsible, with onions and beef under scrutiny. McDonald’s has removed the implicated ingredients from affected locations. The outbreak comes as the fast-food chain faces declining sales, prompting the introduction of a $5 meal deal, which does not include the Quarter Pounder.

She leaves behind a son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Each member of the Little Rock Nine received a Congressional Gold Medal, which they donated to the Clinton Presidential Library.
