Coast organizations join forces to Rise Against Hunger

The Bay St. Louis Rotary Club partnered with five other Rotary clubs, Coast Electric and three churches on Saturday to help end world hunger.

A group of more than 90 volunteers gathered in Hancock County to pakcage 30,000 meals for families in need.

The Rotary clubs have raised more than $20,000 to cover the cost of food and supplies in support of the Rise Against Hunger program.

The packages will be shipped out Monday globally. Within the next couple of weeks, the Clubs will find out what community benefitted from their efforts via a tracking label on each box.
