Chief Meteorologist David Paul is live with how long this cold rain will last around Houston
SUMMARY: David Paul from the K1 Weather Center provided an update on current weather conditions in Houston and Southeast Texas, which are experiencing a rainy and cold night. While minor street ponding and reduced visibility are issues, major flooding is not a concern. Rain is expected to continue through the night until about 3 a.m., with clearing anticipated by sunrise. Inland areas remain above freezing, which means precipitation will fall as rain, unlike the Dallas area where sleet and snow are occurring. Travelers should be cautious due to wet roads, and conditions are expected to improve by Friday afternoon.
