Catholic school raises funds through acts of kindness
SUMMARY: Saint Aloysius School in Pewee Valley is raising funds through acts of kindness instead of traditional sales. Students engage in simple, meaningful activities like making cookies, delivering pictures, and helping neighbors with small tasks such as taking out trash. These actions teach children the value of giving back emotionally and financially, fostering a culture of kindness. The fundraiser supports school improvements while encouraging students to pay it forward and develop lifelong habits of generosity. Through volunteering and thoughtful gestures, students learn that helping others is not only kind but the right thing to do, hoping to carry these lessons into daily life.

Dry weather rolls along as temperatures heat up
SUMMARY: Central and Eastern Kentucky will experience summer-like warmth this weekend, with dry, sunny skies and afternoon highs climbing into the mid to upper 80s Saturday and possibly reaching 90°F Sunday. The upper-level ridge will keep heat building, making outdoor activities warm but enjoyable with low humidity. Friday continues the pattern of warm, dry weather, offering pleasant conditions for high school football games with temperatures cooling into the 70s at night. This hot, dry trend is expected to persist into next week, with highs in the low 90s and increasing drought concerns due to limited rainfall in the coming weeks.
