Man charged with shooting, killing the mother of his children during argument
SUMMARY: Marcus M. Williams of Kansas City has been charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action after fatally shooting Jaida Perdue, the mother of his children, in an apartment on the south side. Police responded to the shooting on July 15, finding Perdue with a head wound. Williams told investigators they wrestled over a gun during an argument, and the gun accidentally discharged. A witness on the phone during the incident reported hearing the altercation and gunshot. Two children under three were removed from the scene. Williams is held on a \$200,000 bond; his court date is pending.
