SUMMARY: The Big Give Back initiative transformed a parking lot at Gateway Market in North St. Louis into a vital relief hub for tornado victims. Hundreds of volunteers, local groups, and organizations united to distribute meals, non-perishables, clothing, backpacks, and health screenings. Volunteers also conducted door-to-door checks to ensure safety and connect neighbors to medical and social services. Many victims arrived with nothing and left with essentials and hope. The effort demonstrated strong community solidarity amid destruction and ongoing recovery. Organizers plan to continue support, including placing 40 displaced people from tents into mobile homes next Saturday, marking significant recovery progress.

North St. Louis continues to recover from a storm that destroyed homes, snapped powerlines, and uprooted trees as well as lives. But on Sunday, a grassroots relief effort delivered both supplies and hope to one hard-hit corner.
