Bowling Green man charged after dog found emaciated, unable to walk
SUMMARY: In Bowling Green, Ky., Damion Temple, 23, was arrested for animal torture after a severely emaciated German Shepherd was found in his yard. The dog, named Draco, was reported “near death” with severe muscle atrophy and visible bones. An animal control officer had to support the dog’s head as it couldn’t stand or walk. Temple admitted ownership and responsibility for Draco’s condition, which authorities believe resulted from deliberate starvation. The dog was taken to the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society, renamed Ethan, and is now recovering, walking, and eating. An anonymous donor pledged to cover all medical expenses.

Evening Forecast 6/21/2025
SUMMARY: The first official weekend of summer brings hot, humid weather with heat indices near or above 100. High pressure creates a “hot dome,” keeping temperatures in the 90s and humidity oppressive across much of the region for the next week. Today’s highs reached around 89-90 degrees in central Kentucky, with slightly cooler temperatures in the east. Overnight lows will mostly stay in the lower 70s, cooler in southeastern Kentucky. Rain chances are minimal, with only isolated showers possible later in the week. Sunny skies, high UV levels, and consistent heat will continue, so sunscreen and hydration are advised.
