Central Mississippi–

Mostly sunny with a slight chance of afternoon showers and highs in the lower 80s. Becoming mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers continuing tonight. Lows will be in the mid-60s.

Southern Mississippi–

Partly sunny with a slight chance of afternoon showers and highs in the lower 80s. Becoming mostly cloudy tonight with lows in the upper 60s.

Woman pleads guilty to embezzling from Brandon High band booster funds

SUMMARY: Donna Gladney Floyd of Pearl, Rankin County, pled guilty to embezzling $45,000 from the Brandon High School band booster funds. She was arrested in May 2023 and was set to go on trial in 2024 before pleading guilty on April 23. The case was first brought to light by school officials. Floyd is scheduled to be sentenced on April 30, 2024.

ACE commits to preliminary study of Luxapalila flooding in Millport
