If you're heading out, you may see some trees blowing in the wind, but it should be a good day to enjoy outdoor activities or check out the Expo.

The Metro Executive Center, which was a prominent structure next to the Chevron gas station, is now gone, leaving only a pile of debris in its place. Despite the loss of the building, the tenants were unharmed and no other injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

Bond set at $1M for teen charged in mother's murder

SUMMARY: A 14-year-old girl from Rankin County has been charged with shooting and killing her mother and injuring her stepfather. Carly Gregg has been given a one million dollar bond and has been ordered to undergo a mental evaluation. The shooting took place in March and the teenager has been bound over to the grand jury to determine the next steps in the case. The Sheriff's office is still investigating the incident to determine what led to the tragic event.
