TVA Announces River Operations Update | October 1, 2024 | News 19 at 5 p.m.
SUMMARY: The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has announced plans to aggressively manage water flow through the system this week due to excessive rainfall from Hurricane Helene in East Tennessee. The Key River near Greenville rose rapidly, prompting the TVA to release water from 8 of the 9 Tennessee River dams. This controlled release aims to maintain safe water levels below the dams. Man Arrested in Madison Following Several Reports of Car, Business Break-Ins | Oct. 10, 2024 | News
