Mississippi investing more than $56.7 million in site development

Jackson, Miss. – Governor Tate Reeves announced the state of Mississippi is investing more than $56.7 million in site development projects throughout the state. Site development grant funds made available through the Mississippi Development Authority and Appalachian Regional Commission are assisting local economic development entities in their efforts to spur economic growth by attracting new industry to competitive, shovel-ready sites.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast is a hub for innovation in ocean conservation, with Gulf Blue Navigator leading the charge. Under the University of Southern Mississippi Research Foundation, this program aims to accelerate late-stage startups toward revenue generation.

Over four months, Gulf Blue Navigator provides expertise, collaboration opportunities, research facilities, testing capabilities, funding avenues, and physical infrastructure tailored for success.
