Meet the 2 massive great white sharks pinging off Volusia, Brevard counties

SUMMARY: Two massive great white sharks, “Breton” and “Bob,” have been spotted off the coasts of Brevard and Volusia Counties. Breton, a 1,400-pound shark tagged during OCEARCH’s 2020 Nova Scotia expedition, was pinged near Volusia County on January 5. Bob, a 1,300-pound shark, pinged closer to Brevard County on January 4. Breton is 13 feet, 3 inches long, while Bob measures 13 feet, 4 inches. Additionally, a shark named Penny was tagged in April 2023 and has traveled nearly 9,000 miles. These sharks, along with others, migrate to warmer southeastern U.S. waters during the winter.

St. Johns County community honors legacy of Creekside grad Trenton Stewart

Missouri man on FBI’s ‘Most Wanted’ list pleads not guilty to child sex charges after Florida arrest
